Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. The first time she worked at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her get her first post as a producer assistant at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she was a producer of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was then recruited by the CBS station to work as a sports journalist. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues from both sides of the Mexico-Texas border, she was a news reporter for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 at 5 pm. She was as a reporter for news on English for 9 pm, the news anchor was on until 10 pm, and then returned back to KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. In addition, she was frequently called upon to be a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed additional responsibilities. She wrote pieces to The NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. In addition, she hosted her own local Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. Then, she became the sports host for the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. She also played the job as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta's parents come from Veracruz Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd, 1984 in Mexico City. There is also a younger sibling. Her family relocated from Mexico to Miami in 1992, after having left Mexico. Her parents divorced soon after and, in 1995, she was married a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime, where she had been provided with an opportunity to work. Antonietta was just graduating from high school, however she knew what she was going to be doing. In the end, she was a fan of the university and that they had the kind of program she was searching for. She graduated from school and was enrolled at the university as an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and director of WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
